"Depend upon it, God’s work, done in God’s way,
will never lack God’s supplies . . . "
(J. Hudson Taylor, remarks on the 21st anniversary
of the China Inland Mission, 26 May, 1887.)
These words inspired and encouraged many, including Heinrich Coerper, the founder of Liebenzell Mission. Liebenzell was begun as a faith mission and continues so today, trusting God for all needs. The work of Liebenzell USA continues today by leaning solely on the Lord in prayer for support through individuals and churches.
The income Liebenzell Retreat Ministries receives from our guests covers only a portion of the expenses needed at the Guest House and Retreat Center. The generous gifts of friends and ministry partners helps keep the work on Schooley's Mountain going.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service recognizes Liebenzell Mission of the U.S.A., Inc., as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) religious organization. Donations are tax-deductible and donors will receive a receipt.
Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability
Liebenzell USA is a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). The ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public's trust through adherence to seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship.
During an 18-month period beginning in 1979, 150 pioneering organizations came together to form ECFA and received the designation of ECFA charter members. Today it is comprised of over 1,100 charitable, religious, missionary, social, and educational tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. ECFA's Standards of Responsible Stewardship focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fund-raising, and proper use of charity resources. Visit their website: www.ecfa.org
